Change The Rules
Policy change means changing the rules people in your community live by. Lots of people get involved in policy change because they want to improve their community. When you see a way to make your community better, there are steps you can take to make your ideas become reality.
You will definitely be stronger in numbers, so round up some people to help you out. If your school has an anti-tobacco group, get involved with them, or contact your local health department to find out about local youth activist groups.
You know tobacco use and secondhand smoke can harm people in your community, so now is your chance to make a positive change. It won’t happen overnight, so set a goal, devise a plan and get going.
