The Washington State Department of Health, which sponsors NoStankYou.com, is committed to protecting your privacy. You are not required to register or provide any personal information to use the site and we will never give or sell any personal information you choose to provide to a third party, except if required by law.
Information You Choose to Provide
In future NoStankYou.com versions, there may be an option to provide personal information or receive updates. All of these submissions would be voluntary. Registered account holders on nostankyou.com consent to receive information via e-mail delivered to the e-mail address provided during registration. Directions to stop all future communications will be included in each email. Visitors under the age of 13 are not allowed to submit personal information in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm) and submissions from those under 13 would not be recorded or stored in the database. In addition, the site is in compliance with section 508, which requires Web sites to be accessible to people with disabilities.
Information Automatically Collected and Stored
All Web sites collect and store some information about your computer and your visit: your computer's Internet Protocol address (this is not your e-mail address); the domain from which you access the Internet (e.g. "AOL.com"); the name, version, and specifications of your computer and your computer's operating system; the Internet address of the Web site, if any, from which you came to our site; the date and time you arrived at our site and how long you spent on the site; and which pages you visited. If you just browse through the site, read pages, or download information, the above information is all that we collect. We use this information to formulate statistics and help us make our site more useful to visitors. In addition, on some pages we may use a cookie to tailor the session for an individual. These cookies are data a Web site can send to your browser and are removed after your browser is closed. We do not use cookies to track or personally identify users. By using the site, you agree that we may collect and use the information collected and stored by all Web sites about your computer and your visit. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page so you are always informed about what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. Your continued use of the site after a change has been posted will constitute your agreement to such change in the privacy policy.
